Meet Megan & Tim
Welcome! We are Megan & Tim, a husband and wife team who want to share ideas and tools to help you develop new habits and experience a healthy, balanced, and more fulfilled life.
What Will You Find on this Blog?
We want to help you create a beautiful and organized home, cook and eat delicious healthy food, stay in good shape, all while not going broke! You will find plenty of healthy recipes, fitness tips, and how to live a healthy lifestyle. We also want to empower you to develop great habits that will last a lifetime! We will also share organization and planning strategies for your home, work, and life. Home decorating has always been a passion of ours so we will show you some project ideas we have done to take our home to the next level. We pride ourselves on living a great life, but are very sensible with spending and saving money. We would like to help you in this area too!
Why Did You Start a Blog?
It has been a longtime dream of ours to start an online business and we thought a blog would be a great platform to share information. My Life Habit was created out of our desire to share ideas, tips, and advice to help others. Over the years we have had friends, coworkers, and family ask us to explain how we completed home design projects, how we stay in shape, how we find the best deals and so much more. We know so many people struggle with things such as staying organized, staying on budget, eating healthy, and exercising. It can be done with the right tools and a dose of discipline and encouragement. We would like to offer knowledge to help you in your life.
Want to Know More About Us?
We have been married for 18 years and do not have any children unless you count our fur babies (which we do!). As longtime cat lovers, we adopted our newest family members (brother Evan and sister Ellie) from a local rescue group last year.
We met in the San Francisco Bay Area at our first jobs out of college. Fate really brought us together as we went to colleges on opposite sides of the country. Megan is a graduate of Kent State University in Ohio and Tim from San Diego State University in California. Both of us interviewed for the same nonprofit, Tim at the San Diego location and Megan at the Seattle location. Neither of us were offered the positions in those cities but our resumes were loaded into the Western Region database. We both were hired by the same office in San Francisco (3 years apart). While living in the San Francisco Bay area and working several years for a nonprofit agency, it was too costly to find an affordable home. So, we ended up settling in Michigan for many years before moving to central Florida where we currently live.
